So much has happened since August 6th buckle up it's going to be a long post. So starting in September I got a glabrata krusei yeast infection, which took 21 days to treat. Then I got cellulitis again, and then in October, I got an ear and sinus infection that turned into a whole ordeal. It spread to my eye and they thought I would have to go inpatient for antibiotics. But somehow I avoided that. I took three full different rounds of antibiotics one that landed me in the hospital for four days due to a reaction to it and another that made me throw up so badly I only took it for two days before I stopped taking it. After all that I still had puss coming out of my eyes on Thanksgiving night. Finally got a CT scan the next week and found out my sinuses were fine it was my tear ducts.
It is December 20th, and I just now have an appointment with the eye surgical associates next week to evaluate my tear ducts. I am so nervous about that appointment. I also Have appointments with an infectious disease specialist, a pain clinic, and a new primary care doctor next week. The Infectious diseases specialist is because I keep getting all the infections and we don't know why. The pain clinic is to address the chronic daily headaches I've been getting since the sinus infection and all my other chronic pain hopefully. The new primary care is because I switched to a concierge-style. After all, I needed longer appointment times and better access, and also my doctor was hardly ever there.
I had an ultrasound on Thursday and I have a 7cm cyst on my right ovary that we have been watching for a while and it hasn't gone away. So I'm having surgery on February 24th in the morning. Also, I saw my plastic surgeon last Friday because I have been incredibly swollen and super painful for the last 3ish weeks. He said we are moving in the right direction, but some lymphangiomas are returning so I will need another surgery to address those since the omentum won't have matured until 2 years post-op. I'm pretty sure that won't be for a while though.
It's been a lot to take in this week I'm still processing at this point. I'm just hoping I don't have to have surgery on my tear ducts too. That would make for three surgeries for 2025 already in the works before it even starts.... big yikes.
